Preparing for an Accreditation Organization survey is bad enough, without having to endure another, arduous survey by more surveyors who stay longer. This happens to over 85 hospitals per year when a validation survey follows an Accreditation Organization (AO) survey. Often-times, the state agency surveyors — who are surveying on behalf of CMS — will find different issues of non-compliance with the Life Safety Code that the AO surveyors may not have cited. This webinar will introduce you to the workings of the CMS validation survey conducted by the individual state agencies, and will identify the most common findings. The whole purpose of these validation surveys is not to see how well the hospital is complying with the Life Safety Code, but rather to see how poorly the Accreditation Organizations evaluate your facility for compliance with the Life Safety Code.
This 1-hour webinar, will reveal unique findings that the AO surveyors often over-look, yet the healthcare organization is still required to comply with. There will be Q&A session after the presentation, so bring your questions and be enlightened as to what to expect when the state comes knocking on your door to conduct a validation survey after your accreditation survey.
Registration is limited to accommodate the Q&A session following the presentation.
