VA to build new medical center in Colo.

The Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded the first major contract for construction of the new VA Medical Center in Aurora, according to an article on the HC+O News website.

The new hospital will replace the Denver Medical Center.

The new 184-bed medical center will include a 30-bed Spinal Cord Injury/Disease Center, a 30-bed community living center, a research building, a central utility plant and parking structures. 

The project includes the renovation of a former office building.
