Whitepaper offers guidance on choosing the right disinfectant

A new whitepaper, "Researching the Right Disinfectant for Your Facility: Without Damaging Instruments or Surfaces," is available on the Infection Control Today website.

The paper includes information about surface compatibility when selecting disinfectants, as well as the duration of pathogens on inanimate surfaces. 

It also provides a review of the basics of bacterial multiplication on contaminated surfaces.

More effective decontamination of hands, surfaces and items in healthcare facilities is becoming an important focus for healthcare institutions, which are also turning to much more frequent decontamination efforts to address continuous microbial deposition and accumulation, according to the site.
