June 27, 2017

Shriners Hospital for Children in Lexington, Ky., combines lighthearted design and advanced technology for efficient care, according to an article on the Health Facilities Maintenance website.

The facility contains murals of rainbows and baby animals as well as a motion-analysis lab fitted with digital video cameras.

The lab also has pressure-sensitive floor plates to analyze how patients walk.

There are two operating suites fitted with voice-activated equipment and an interactive video wall that young patients can play with to stay busy, the article said.
