Froedtert ThedaCare announced the grand opening of ThedaCare Medical Center-Oshkosh, expanding convenient access to care for those living in the region. The opening of the new health campus marks the 20th hospital in the Froedtert ThedaCare system. Care teams are prepared to welcome first patients on Monday, January 19, 2026.

ThedaCare Medical Center-Oshkosh is located on the Fox River in downtown Oshkosh, and complements the area’s major redevelopment and revitalization efforts. Nearly 73 percent of Oshkosh residents live east of Interstate 41, while most of the current health care services are located west of I-41, meaning east-side residents are more than 15 minutes away from a hospital or emergency room.

The organization broke ground on the health campus in March 2024.

ThedaCare Medical Center-Oshkosh is designed to provide comprehensive care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The health campus is approximately 114,000 square feet, with an estimated $84 million investment in the Oshkosh community.

Services at ThedaCare Medical Center-Oshkosh will include:

  • 24/7 Emergency Care
  • Inpatient Care
  • Outpatient Surgery
  • Primary Care
  • Pediatrics
  • Specialty Care
  • Drive-thru Retail Pharmacy
  • Imaging Services: CT, X-Ray, Ultrasound, Mammography, MRI and Nuclear Medicine
  • Lab Services

To adapt to the changing needs of the community, ThedaCare updated plans for the health campus and added a 28,000-square-foot third floor to the original design. More services may be added over time based on community need.

Throughout the project, ThedaCare worked with partners including Miron Construction, HGA and Hplex Solutions. The teams have worked diligently to support the design and construction of the facility.

Recruitment efforts continue for dedicated team members. Approximately 60 new jobs were created for caregivers and staff at the campus.
