Generator Fleet Management Solution Enabled By PowerConnectSM GenSecure

Murata Energy Solutions Americas, Inc., a subsidiary of Murata Electronics North America, Inc. today announced the launch of its PowerConnectSM GenSecure solution. GenSecure is a cost-effective, reliable generator management tool that mitigates the interruptions and financial implications caused by power outages and failures. It does so by providing comprehensive monitoring and diagnostic reporting capabilities that can be accessed remotely from any computer or smart device. This enables field technicians to access testing results and critical diagnostic data in real time to better control and maintain generator fleets.

GenSecure is hosted in the Microsoft Azure cloud service. Data and reports are centralized for dynamic information aggregation in a highly secure environment. This model also serves as a gateway to PowerConnect’s full portfolio of superior energy management solutions.

GenSecure’s benefits and features are rich. Remote access capabilities can initiate testing before a storm or predicted outage to quickly generate diagnostic reports and proactively address any issues. This reduces backup outage risks to prevent business interruptions and revenue loss. Mobile access through the cloud delivers real-time or historic data – including dashboards, reports, diagnostics, and a weather and traffic overlay – so updates and alerts are available anytime and anywhere for better resource management and regulatory compliance. Finally, the solution is based on the proven PowerConnect platform that permits scalability and is the gateway to numerous centralized energy solutions. Public APIs provide platform flexibility allowing customers to leverage PowerConnect’s capabilities on existing devices and applications. Further, it lays the groundwork for next-level energy management and optimal cost-saving opportunities.

“PowerConnect GenSecure was designed for the challenges that generator fleet managers face,” stated Joe Pollard, General Manager of Murata Energy Solutions Americas. “With the expected increase in weather-related and demand-related outages in the coming years, it is more important than ever to stay on top of your fleet health. The solution offers unsurpassed efficiency, reliability, and comprehension in a user-friendly and cost-effective package.”
