Halyard Health Introduces Recognition Program for Sterile Processing Departments Delivering Exceptional Patient Safety


This International Central Services Week Halyard Health (NYSE: HYH), a global medical technology company focused on preventing infection, eliminating pain and speeding recovery, announces the inaugural recognition program for Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Centers of Excellence. The purpose of this program is to identify and celebrate SPD centers that implement innovative strategies for maintaining sterility and reduce risk of infection. Halyard Health is committed to recognizing CS professionals’ achievements in the SPD, the OR and beyond.

Who: Halyard invites SPD Centers from across the country who have a track record of going above and beyond to ensure patient safety, improve workflow efficiency and establish a positive team culture to submit an entry.

What: The program offers a way to elevate your entire department to an SPD Center of Excellence. Candidates will be evaluated based on the following key areas:

• Community Outreach Programs

• Employee Education and Empowerment Initiatives

• Patient Protection & Patient Outcomes

• Vendor Partners Collaboration

The facility that demonstrates best-in-class policies and practices in these four key areas will receive a $1000 Educational Grant from Halyard Health to expand upon their program.
