Leading the Way to a Connected Future at LIGHTFAIR International 2018


Light, technology, knowledge and design connect in a convergence of global introductions, innovations and thought leadership when LIGHTFAIR® International returns to Chicago at McCormick Place May 6 – 10 (Pre-Conference LIGHTFAIR Institute®May 6 – 7; Trade Show & Conference: May 8 – 10).

Attendees from around the world will discover the forward-thinking products and solutions that are propelling the industry ahead. LIGHTFAIR is the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference. The 2018 trade show floor will produce its largest footprint in history. The Conference program will offer a dynamic complement of courses and topics featuring new speakers, relevant forums, captivating keynotes and enlightening education sessions. A full networking schedule will give attendees the opportunity to make connections with industry professionals from across the globe.

Two pavilions will continue for a second year bringing the latest technologies to the forefront. The Intelligent Lighting Pavilion features smart lighting solutions that provide the benefit of controlling the lighting in a space by using sensors and data to maximize efficiency and energy savings. The IoT Pavilion displays the intricate technology used to create a network that uses the power of connectivity to achieve greater efficiency, reduce operation costs and collect valuable data.

LIGHTFAIR’s unparalleled Conference program is where professionals from a broad spectrum of industries learn about what’s on the horizon. The knowledge shared by top industry practitioners informs the global community of the newest discoveries and practices. Courses range from 60 minutes to 2 days in length and cover a large range of topics while providing insight and inspiration from the industry’s thought leaders.

The HUB is the interactive meeting space where attendees connect with colleagues from all over the world for networking, education and fun. There will be events in the New Exhibitor Pavilion which provide attendees the chance to view the latest innovations from first-time exhibitors while enjoying refreshments.

Preceding and setting the stage for the trade show opening, the prestigious LFI Innovation Awards® will highlight the industry’s most innovative products and designs introduced during the last 12 months. The presentation will take place on May 8 beginning at 8 a.m., with the LFI trade show floor opening at 9 a.m.

Lighting and design professionals will connect with LIGHTFAIR via social media using #LFI2018. The ongoing conversation on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn keeps everyone up-to-date on the newest information from LIGHTFAIR. Videos will be released before, during and after the event on YouTube that illustrate the LIGHTFAIR experience.
