Schneider Electric upgrades energy management platform to automate data exchange with ENERGY STAR portfolio manager

By Healthcare Facilities Today

Louisville, KY. – Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, recently introduced ENERGY STAR Link, an addition to its suite of ENERGY STAR services and an enhancement in its data management platform, StruxureWare™ Resource Advisor. By streamlining the data exchange between Resource Advisor and Portfolio Manager, ENERGY STAR Link ensures data integrity in both platforms and eliminates the need for its clients to manually re-enter data in Portfolio Manager.

This module is ideal for organizations seeking:

· To integrate their energy data with ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager

· To more effectively benchmark properties across their portfolio

· Additional building certifications

· Compliance with city or state efficiency and reporting guidelines

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recently upgraded ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, which allows users to measure the energy performance, water use, utility costs and greenhouse gas emissions for their buildings and benchmark properties across their portfolio. As with any energy management system, however, Portfolio Manager’s effectiveness is predicated on the addition of timely, accurate data. Resource Advisor’s ENERGY STAR Link addresses this issue of data integrity with a number of features, including:

· Users’ monthly energy consumption data is extracted from their energy invoices, warehoused in Resource Advisor and automatically exchanged with Portfolio Manager. This eliminates the need for manual data re-entry data in Portfolio Manager reducing human error.

· Scores are continually updated and available any time.

· Energy data is audited and verified in Resource Advisor ensuring the data shared with Portfolio Manager is always accurate.

· ENERGY STAR Link aggregates site-level data into a single dashboard while allowing for easy drill-down to individual sites and scores. This level of data visibility makes benchmarking and reporting easier.

Resource Advisor’s ENERGY STAR Link allows users to customize their ENERGY STAR programs and adapt them over time. In addition, Schneider Electric offers a full suite of services to drive an organization’s ENERGY STAR program – from one-on-one coaching and program development assistance to total management of the certification process for any property.
