5400 Series door closers are made of aluminum alloy with double heat-treated, tempered steel springs. Adjustable latching and sweep speed valves are standard; adjustable backcheck valve is optional. Non-handed. Standard door thickness is 1-3/4 inches; thicknesses from 1-3/8 to 2-1/4 inches are also available. Available in four finishes.
