Heavy-duty hinges can be used without frame or door reinforcement on up to 200-pound, high-frequency doors or 400-pound, medium-frequency doors. With the use of rivnuts in the frame and door, standard heavy-duty hinges can be used on 600-pound, low-frequency doors; heavy duty hinges with additional fastener holes can support doors up to 1,000 pounds.
