$1.2 million of equipment stolen from Toronto hospital

The hospital’s video surveillance footage shows the suspects used suitcases to transport equipment


Police are searching for three men suspected of breaking into Toronto Western Hospital and stealing $1.2 million worth of medical equipment, according to an article on the Campus Safety website.

The hospital’s video surveillance footage shows the suspects used suitcases to walk out of the hospital with the equipment.

Investigators believe the thieves specifically targeted the expensive equipment and planned their crime accordingly including equipment to defeat the facility's electromagnetic locks.

Hospital officials realized the theft had occurred two days after it occurred.
