2019 Halyard Sterile Processing Department Centers of Excellence Recognition: Call For Entries Open


In honor of International Central Services Week, Halyard, a leading global provider of solutions for the prevention of healthcare-associated infections across acute care and non-acute care settings, announces the second annual recognition program for Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Centers of Excellence. The program is designed to recognize facilities that go beyond the status quo to implement best in class practices for increase patient safety by reducing risk of infection. Halyard is committed to celebrating the important work that CS professionals drive each day to improve patient outcomes. 

Who: Halyard invites SPD Centers from across the country who exemplify excellence in patient safety, improving workflow efficiency and establishing a positive team culture to submit an entry. 

What: The program offers a way to elevate your entire department to an SPD Center of Excellence. Candidates will be evaluated based on the following key areas:

• Community Outreach Programs

• Employee Education and Empowerment Initiatives

• Patient Protection & Patient Outcomes

• Vendor Partners Collaboration

The facility that demonstrates best-in-class policies and practices in these four key areas will receive a $1000 Educational Grant from Halyard to expand their program.
