ASSA ABLOY integrates Aperio wireless technology with Honeywell Pro-Watch security management system

NEW HAVEN, Connecticut – ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions, today announced the integration of their Aperio® wireless lock technology with the Pro-Watch 4.2 Security Management Suite from Honeywell.

Pro-Watch 4.2 eliminates the need to run wires to each access point reducing installation time and saving users the associated labor costs. This reduced cost per door allows Pro-Watch 4.2 customers to implement access control on more doors per site, providing integrators with additional avenues to generate sales/revenues.

The Aperio integration offers Honeywell customers an easy, affordable way to connect additional openings to their existing Pro-Watch 4.2 access control system. Aperio is a global wireless platform available across a broad range of locking hardware from ASSA ABLOY Group brands, offering the flexibility to address a variety of applications throughout any facility.

“Wireless technologies along with wired systems provide customers extra opportunities of revenue generation,” said Robert Blasofsel, director of Honeywell Integrated Security, Honeywell Security Group. “By adding more flexible wireless capabilities to Pro-Watch, integrators will have new opportunities to protect additional doors at each customer site.”

“By combining the functionality of Pro-Watch with our award-winning Aperio technology we are empowering security integrators to offer a more comprehensive solution that requires a lower investment and delivers a higher level of protection,” stated Martin Huddart, President Access and Egress Hardware Group, ASSA ABLOY Americas. “Wireless access control offers a host of benefits, and we are proud to work with an industry leader like Honeywell to drive additional applications of the technology to provide the highest level of security.”

Aperio is a global wireless platform that allows you to expand your access control footprint – quickly, easily, and affordably. It uses wireless communication (IEEE 802.15.4) between the lock and an Aperio hub to provide real-time communication to the access control system, simplifying installation and reducing costs.
