Airolite offers new storm class combination louver


New Airolite Storm Class™ Combination dual module louver SCC901 provides for high volume intake and exhaust ventilation and protects against water penetration even under the most severe wind-driven rain conditions. Model SCC901 is AMCA 540 and 550 Listed for Wind Borne Debris and High Velocity Wind Driven Rain protection and AMCA Certified for Water Penetration, Air Performance and Wind-Driven Rain. Model SCC901 incorporates a factory-assembled horizontal blade front model and vertical blade rear module to fit both the desired form and function for louvers applied in the Hurricane Prone Region. The International Building Code requires that all intake and exhaust ventilation louvers in the Hurricane Prone Region comply with AMCA 550 (High Velocity Wind Driven Rain) and AMCA 540 (Test Method for Louvers Impacted by Wind Borne Debris) for certain applications in the Wind Borne Debris Region of the Hurricane Prone Region.
