Alpha's Angelides Selected for Inaugural Bruce D'Agostino Award for Owner Outreach


The Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) announced that Philios Angelides, PE, F.SAME, FACEC will receive CMAA’s 2018 Bruce D’Agostino Award for Owner Outreach.

Angelides is President of Alpha Corporation, a multidisciplinary construction consulting firm providing engineering, program and construction management, project controls, and technology services.

“Phil has championed training and mentoring in CM/PM industry best practices for more than 20 years,” said Christopher J. Payne, PE, CCM, Chair, CMAA Board of Directors. “He has taken a leadership role in educating public and private owners on the value of professional construction management and has partnered with industry associations like CMAA, SAME, AACE and others encouraging them to do the same.”

Named in honor of CMAA’s former President & CEO, the Bruce D’Agostino Award for Owner Outreach recognizes demonstrated leadership by individuals or organizations in raising the bar of owner professionalism in the construction management industry. The award recognizes CMAA members who have educated or engaged owner organizations in ways that promote the construction management profession and the use of qualified construction managers.

“Phil is actively involved with the MillionWomenMentors program, a national program that aims to provide a million mentors for girls and women in STEM careers by 2019,” said CMAA President & CEO Andrea S. Rutledge, CAE. “He sets the bar high and I can think of no one more deserving than Phil for this award.”

Angelides will be honored during the CMAA National Conference & Trade ShowOctober 14-16, 2018 in Las Vegas, NV.
