American Time Announces Tenth Annual Scholarship Winner

American Time, a market leader in integrated time solutions, has announced that Daniel Mages, a senior at Dassel-Cokato High School, has been awarded the 2018 American Time Scholarship and the opportunity for a paid internship at American Time’s headquarters in Dassel. He is the son of Jeanne and David Mages.

Mages earned the $1,000 scholarship based on his academic record, extra-curricular and community involvement, post-secondary goals, letter of recommendation and interview with the American Time selection committee. After completing one year of post-secondary school in good standing and submitting a transcript of grades, he will be eligible for a paid internship with American Time to earn hands-on experience in his field.

Mages, an Eagle Scout, has been involved in robotics, Boy Scouts, and FFA throughout his high school career. His diverse job experiences include bank teller, custodian, Boy Scout camp instructor, and orchard/restaurant hand. He twice earned the Dassel-Cokato High School Science Student of the Year.

“This is our tenth year awarding a scholarship because we believe it’s critical for successful businesses to invest in our students and community,” said Tiffany Dahlman, lead estimator at American Time. “It’s a privilege to connect with the stellar young people coming out of our community and to support them in their career pursuits.”

Mages will attend North Dakota State University to study industrial and mechanical engineering.
