The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International honored three of its members with the Regional Member of the Year Award during the 2016 BOMA International Conference & Expo in Washington, D.C. in late June. Regional Member of the Year Awards are given annually to BOMA members who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment and contribution to both the association and the commercial real estate industry.

The recipients honored at this year’s annual conference were:

Mark Dukes, RPA, CCIM, BOMA/Georgia
Southern Region Member of the Year

Mark Dukes is vice president of Property Management for Physicians Realty Trust, a healthcare real estate investment trust that acquires, owns and manages healthcare assets in 29 states across the United States. He previously served as vice president of Healthcare Asset Management for Duke Realty. In 2015, he was appointed chair of BOMA International’s Asset Management Council. Dukes also is a past president of BOMA/Georgia and an active member of the BOMA Southern Region Board of Directors. He recently was the recipient of the Huey Award, BOMA/Georgia’s top honor.

David Foley, RPA, FMA, SMA, BOMA/Greater Los Angeles
Pacific Southwest Region Member of the Year

David Foley, general manager for Brookfield, boasts 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. He has managed numerous properties, including EYP Office Tower, 777 Office Tower and FIGat7th Retail Center in downtown Los Angeles. A longtime member of BOMA, he has served on several local committees, including the Sustainability and Security Committees, and is currently in his third year as chair of BOMA/Greater Los Angeles’ Government Affairs and PAC Committees. He also recently became a member of the board for BOMA/Greater Los Angeles.

Tracey Pals, BOMA/Dallas
Southwest Region Member of the Year

Tracey Pals serves as a property manager for Crescent Property Services, a real estate company specializing in Class A office buildings. A BOMA/Dallas member since the mid-1990s, Pals’ work with the association on the local and regional levels has been extensive. She served as co-chair of the Southwest Region Conference in 2011 and will reprise that role again for the 2017 event.  She also has served as a board member for BOMA/Dallas and the BOMA/Dallas Foundation. Pals received the BOMA/Dallas President’s Award in 2014, and, this year, she was recognized as the BOMA/Dallas Outstanding Member of the Year.
