Boosting healthcare facilities' cybersecurity

Cybersecurity spending increased by nearly $74 billion in 2016


Healthcare facilities have a number of areas in which they can improve their cybersecurity programs, according to an article on the Information Age website.

First, provide employees with only the data they need to perform their jobs and train staff on why these restrictions enhance data security. 

Also, make sure you monitor outside vendors. Send a security questionnaire or schedule an on-site visit. 

Plus, always validate your data security. You won’t know if you’re secure if you don’t test your system with an independent audit.
