Sanford Health is planning an integrated breast health building at its Sioux Falls, S.D., campus this fall, according to an article on the Medical Construction & Design website. The Edith Sanford Breast Center will combine research and clinical care.
The 48,000-square-foot facility will be connected to the current Sanford Cancer Center and VanDemark Building. Portions of the Sanford Cancer Center and VanDemark Building will also be renovated.
The center will include mammography services, a breast cancer risk assessment program, a high-risk breast clinic, a breast surgery clinic, genetic counseling, a boutique offering medical and retail support for cancer patients, a multi-disciplinary conference center and clinic and a survivorship clinic, the article said.
