Bryn Mawr Hospital's planning largest project since late 1800s

$200 million project calls for major new construction on the hospital's core campus

Bryn Mawr Hospital, Bryn Mawr, Pa., is planning a renovation project that hospital called the largest undertaking since the late 1800s, according to an article on the Main Line Times website.

The $200 million project calls for major new construction on the hospital’s core campus.

The project includes construction of a new medical building in the heart of the main campus. The proposed five-story, 202,955-square-foot building will be constructed in an area where two older buildings were demolished in summer 2014.

The new building will house 11 or 12 operating rooms and 54 new medical/surgical beds on two floors, allowing the hospital to convert to all private rooms. A new intensive care unit of 18 beds will replace the hospital’s oldest critical care unit.
