BuildingDNA Secures Partnership with Jacobs Engineering

BuildingDNA, a company specializing in visual intelligence for smarter, safer buildings, announced that it has secured a letter of intent partnership with Jacobs Engineering (Jacobs) to pursue national and international smart city opportunities. Jacobs, a global provider of engineering, architecture, construction, operations and maintenance, is one of the largest and most diverse in its industry and employs more than 54,000 people over 230 locations.

“As various project opportunities come to the forefront, Jacobs will look to BuildingDNA for their expertise related to smart and connected building management efforts,” said Ryan Mulligan, Urban Planner, Jacobs Engineering, in its LOI to BuildingDNA. “Jacobs looks forward to exploring smart city partnership opportunities in the future with BuildingDNA.”

Through Intrabuilding Visual Awareness, BuildingDNA’s Internet of Things-based platform combines smart visual mapping, connected systems and predictive/prescriptive analytics via live data feeds, sensors and cameras. The result enhances situational awareness for first responders and streamlines building operations management.

“This is an incomparable point of validation for us,” says BuildingDNA CEO Joe Hernandez. “That a global leader like Jacobs believes our Intrabuilding Visual Awareness solution would be a powerful addition to – and a competitive differentiator for – their smart cites offering speaks volumes. We are proud to be aligned with Jacobs, and we look forward to immediately pursuing opportunities together.”
