CDC Clean Hands Initiatives Promoted by PDI

In recognition of the annual International Clean Hands Week next week and Global Handwashing Day on October 15th, both promoted by CDC and the World Health Organization, PDI created an infographic to remind healthcare professionals of the importance to practice safe hand hygiene.

“Get your hands dirty” highlights some of the most contaminated surfaces throughout healthcare facilities. Without regular hand washing, sanitization and environmental awareness, the transfer of bacteria can put patients at risk of hospital-acquired infections.
