CR Goodman Associates Re-Brands as CRGA Design

CR Goodman Associates, a leading architecture, interior design and planning firm has rebranded as CRGA Design.

“Since 1982, our team has focused on healthcare architecture. We have always strived to develop efficient designs to meet the functional, environmental, ergonomic and aesthetic needs of our clients, their patients, families and medical staff,” said Charles (Chuck) Goodman, AIA, EDAC, Founder of CR Goodman Associates. “As we look ahead, the new brand will help elevate the next generation of leadership, while continuing the same philosophy and expertise that the firm has come to be known for.”

In line with the re-brand, Chuck will continue as a Principal in the firm. He will serve as the firm’s in-house medical planner, oversee client relations for major projects, be involved in marketing efforts, and lead the effort to establish a new training program for younger staff members.

“The new name, CRGA Design, represents the value that we place on all members of our team. The initialization also reflects the importance of our past heritage,” said Sandy Goodman, President.

Sandy Goodman, IIDA, CHID, LEED AP, EDAC, will continue to serve as President and Managing Principal for the firm. She leads many of the firm’s healthcare and senior living projects, as well as business management, business development, and client and vendor relations. Led by Sandy, the firm is now a federally certified Women-owned Small Business (WOSB), an MBE/DBE/SBE certified by the State of Maryland Department of Transportation and a certified Small, Women-owned and Minority-owned Business (SWaM) certified by the State of Virginia.

Rolf Haarstad, AIA, LEED AP, ACHE recently joined the firm as Senior Vice President.  In his role, he will help CRGA Design continue to build on its substantial healthcare portfolio by expanding into other markets through client development, design and branding. Haarstad brings more than 30 years of experience to CRGA Design, having created HGA Architects and Engineers’ Washington DC-based healthcare studio. He also serves as the Chairman of the Board for the Western Maryland Health System.

As a part of the rebrand, the firm has launched a new logo and a new website, which showcases the breadth of the firms’ healthcare and senior living portfolios, highlights its expertise in Lean design and its integration of technology into the design process through virtual reality software and 3D printing.

“The new website gives our clients and prospective clients a closer look into what makes our team experts in the field. By expressing our philosophy – why we are so passionate about healthcare design and how we involve clients in the process – the website will help assure clients that their voices will be heard throughout the design process, and that the result will be an innovative project that takes their budget, workflow, and project goals into consideration,” said Sandy Goodman.
