A roaming security robot is being tested to improve surveillance and safety at four Dignity Health System hospital campuses in California, according to an article on the Campus Safety website.
The large rolling robot uses sensors to direct it around the campuses.
Cameras allow the robot to capture activity and a security button allows people to alert human guards if they need assistance.
An upcoming software update will also allow people to give the robot commands in English and Spanish.
