Cambridge hospital project monitored with webcam

Papworth Hospital project in U.K. installed a live time-lapse camera

Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, U.K., installed a live webcam to take time-lapse photos of the project's progress, according to an article on the Cambridge News website.

The camera takes still images every 20 minutes, and offers the public and staff the chance to view progress .

The new Papworth Hospital will have 310 beds, most of which will be in single rooms, a 46-bed critical care area including cardiac recovery unit and cardiac high dependency unit and seven state-of-the-art operating rooms.

The new hospital is being built because the current site at Papworth Everard is cramped and space to support future levels of increasing demand is severely limited, the article said.
