Muskoka hospitals departments are adding saferooms to their emergency rooms, according to an article on the Muskoka Region website.
Many hospitals across Canada have seen an increase in violent incidents.
Renovations to the active emergency departments started so each would have two specially designed and equipped rooms that could protect patients at high risk of violence or harm to themselves or others.
