Care Resource Community Health Centers, Inc. announced the opening of its newly expanded Little Havana Health Center, a 45,000-square-foot facility that increases access to care for individuals and families across the neighborhood.

This expansion marks a major milestone for Care Resource, enabling the organization to serve up to 20,000 patients annually—more than double the capacity of its previous facility. The new center offers a centralized location for a wide range of essential healthcare services, improving coordination and reducing delays in care for those who rely on consistent access to medical support.

Little Havana has been identified as an area with limited healthcare availability, where many residents face challenges such as limited insurance coverage, transportation issues and a shortage of providers. The new health center is designed to address these gaps and offer streamlined, full-service care in one location.

The expanded health center includes primary care, pediatric care, behavioral health services, dental care, substance use treatment, and an on-site pharmacy. It also houses case management offices, a medical laboratory and additional support services.

Inside the new center, the number of adult exam rooms has increased from seven to 18, while pediatric exam rooms have grown from three to eight. Dental capacity has expanded with 10 chairs, including two dedicated to children. Behavioral health and case management staff have also increased, allowing for more one-on-one support and improved service coordination.
