Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center expects the construction of a patient tower and related infrastructure to be the most expensive project it has ever undertaken, according to an article on the Cincinnati Business Courier website.
The project is expected to cost up to $650 million and includes the clinical space in the 650,000-square-foot tower, the renovation of some adjacent building space, a parking garage underneath the new building as well as the expansion of another garage.
The eight-floor tower would include an emergency department and a rooftop heliport.
Some details of the project are still being finalized, which accounts for the range of the estimate, the article said.
