Cintas Wichita Earns OSHA’s Highest Safety Designation

Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS) today announced that its Wichita, Kansas location received Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star certification from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Cintas employee-partners were also joined by several special guests, including Ryan Hodge, OSHA's Acting Area Director in Wichita.

VPP Star is OSHA’s highest recognition for the practice of and commitment to exemplary occupational safety and health, earned by businesses who meet rigorous safety requirements. Cintas is the number one participant in the nation for companies with VPP sites, with approximately 250 facilities throughout the world actively pursuing VPP recognition by OSHA or the equivalent under a similar certifying body.

“We’re honored to be recognized with this prestigious safety award,” said Cindy Christian, General Manager at Cintas Wichita. “This achievement is the ultimate team award because it was earned through our employee-partners’ desire to be recognized as a world class safety operation. We will uphold this status and continue to make smart, safe decisions at work every day.”

Cintas has been involved with the VPP program since 2010, and currently, over 100 Cintas locations have been achieved VPP Star status. Cintas also participates in similar programs in Canada, Mexico and Honduras.
