Cleveland Clinic has announced its goal for a fundraising campaign that will expand its care for the residents of Palm Beach County.

Cleveland Clinic also named the location for a new hospital that will be funded by the campaign. Both announcements were made during its Palm Beach Ball, an annual fundraising event that supports medical services and programs in South Florida and beyond.

For more than 15 years, Cleveland Clinic has cared for patients at the outpatient center at City Place in West Palm Beach. To meet the evolving needs of the community, Cleveland Clinic plans to build a new hospital and expand outpatient services at a new location.

These projects will be supported by a fundraising campaign that is already reaching $100 million toward a goal of $500 million to begin construction of the hospital.

Plans for the new hospital include approximately 150 inpatient beds, an emergency department, a medical office building and an ambulatory surgery center. The hospital will be located on newly acquired land next to Clear Lake in West Palm Beach.

In addition, Cleveland Clinic will lease space at 15 CityPlace for a new 120,000-square-foot outpatient location that will nearly quadruple the square footage of the existing Cleveland Clinic Health Center. Additional services will include chemotherapy and infusion therapy, a concierge medicine program, imaging, endoscopy and outpatient surgery.
