Cleveland County Courthouse Installs ADA Compliant and Section 508 Compliant Navigo Kiosk

Interactive Touchscreen Solutions, Inc. has partnered with the Cleveland County Courthouse in Oklahoma to help further serve the patrons of the community. The Navigo® Kiosk System is strategically installed at the center of the main entrance corridor so it is easily accessible to visitors and staff. The large scale touchscreen interface allows users to access wayfinding maps to a variety of services, departments and other destinations throughout the facility. Maps and directions are easily sent to, individual mobile phones for use on the go.

The Navigo® Kiosk System is fully ADA compliant and Section 508 compliant. Simple upgrades to any Navigo® Kiosk System ensures that visually impaired users have full access to information available. A proximity sensor auto triggers voice prompting which guides users on using the Braille Keyboard to navigate the system. Information and directions are spoken in a text to speech format to requested destinations.

County Commissioner Darry Stacey stated that the building was very difficult to navigate and that they had tried many different wayfinding systems before and Navigo® was the only system that addressed all their needs. With a one-time investment, the county solved its problems and saved the taxpayer money in the end.

When its wayfinding capabilities are not in use, the Navigo® System displays up-to-date weather and traffic reports, directions to local restaurants and area amenities, important announcements, and emergency directions to employees or citizens with a live 24/7 video streaming feed. The Navigo® System also aids in marketing with available ad space and can easily be integrated with packaged digital management systems.
