Cleveland clinic plans woodsy walking trail

Ohio facility's 1.4-mile trail will be open to patients, employees and the public

The Cleveland Clinic Family Health & Surgery Center in Twinsburg, Ohio, is creating a 1.4-mile walking trail through a wooded section of its 80-acre campus, according to an article on the Healthcare Construction + Operations website.

“This property’s unique because of its size, and all of the different rock formations and wildflower areas we have,” said Mario Cammarata, administrative program coordinator in charge of grounds.

The trail is being built to minimize disruption of the natural area, and with no chemicals, including in the wood used for bridges.

The trail will sit on land designated as a wetland, the article said.
