Clorox Healthcare Sponsors APIC’s 2020 Annual Conference Scholarship


As the threat of antibiotic resistance continues to increase, infection control is more important than ever. Clorox Healthcare is an advocate for public health and is proud to support the education of infection prevention professionals in this critical field. A Strategic Partner with the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology for over a decade, Clorox Healthcare is providing scholarships for five infection preventionists (IPs) in underserved communities within the U.S. and regions hit by natural disasters, to attend the APIC 2020 Annual Conference for the first time. IPs can enter via an online application accessible here – the deadline to apply is February 14, 2020.

Clorox Healthcare also further supports the education of professionals in infection control by providing professionals the opportunity to earn their required CE credits through free online classes and educational tools including videos, blog posts and an online resource center to provide professionals in the industry with the latest information and practical advice in infection control.

Applicant & Award Criteria

  • IPs can enter via an online application accessible here – the deadline to apply is February 14, 2020.
  • Applicants must be: (1) Working in the U.S.; (2) Working in an Underserved Area/Population as designated by HRSA as having too few primary care providers, high infant mortality, high poverty or a high elderly population; (3) APIC Member; and (4) First-time APIC Annual Conference attendee.
  • Awardees will receive: (1) Travel to APIC 2020, (2) Hotel, (3) Full conference registration, (4) Onsite recognition at APIC 2020, and (5) Special ribbon.
