MODLOGIQ has begun work on the Athens Health Campus for Memorial Health System. When completed, it will be the largest permanent healthcare facility in North America built using off-site modular construction.  Off-site modular construction offers Memorial Health and developer Medical Innovations Development numerous benefits.

“For a healthcare project of this size,” says MODLOGIQ Project Manager Fran Bridge, “the typical time frame for conventional, stick-built construction can be as long as four years — one-two years for design and two-three years for construction. Our schedule calls for the Athens Health Campus to open just 18 months after the start of design.”

To facilitate the schedule, the Athens Health Campus is a design-build project that will feature four operating rooms, trauma center, clinical services, medical imaging such as CAT, MRI, X-ray, and nuclear medicine, plus a heliport and a parking garage.

By completing up to 85 percent of the work at its plant in New Holland, Pennsylvania, MODLOGIQ will reduce construction noise, dirt, dust, and safety hazards for the surrounding neighborhoods and their residents.

For a project of this scope, off-site construction will also save numerous site trips by contractors, vendors, delivery vehicles and trades people. This approach will eliminate tons of greenhouse gases, and up to 90 percent of construction waste from the Athens Health Campus project will be recycled at MODLOGIQ’s plant instead of ending up in Ohio landfills.
