Construction Completed on Washington Health Urgent Care Facility in California

Ware Malcomb announced construction is complete on a new urgent care facility for Washington Health, located adjacent to Washington Hospital in Fremont, CA. Ware Malcomb’s Pleasanton office provided interior design and civil engineering services for the 3,500 square foot project, located at 2682 Mowry Ave.

The design team maximized the existing footprint to accommodate five exam rooms, a dedicated procedure room and an X-ray room, delivering an efficient clinical layout within the constraints of the combined suites. On the civil side, the project included upgrades to the path of travel to ensure full code compliance, along with updates to ADA parking to improve accessibility for patients and visitors.

The interior design reflects Washington Health’s branding through a carefully balanced palette of signature colors and warm wood tones that create a welcoming, patient-centered environment. A wood slat ceiling feature defines the reception area and nurses station, and the warmth of the design in these spaces is reinforced by a blend of solid surface and wood materials.

Custom wallcovering behind the reception and nurses station mimics movement and water, further tying into the organization’s branding colors. The exam rooms are clean and inviting, while also bringing the warm wood tones into the flooring.
