Technology is changing faster than facilities can be adjusted


Operating rooms are changing quickly, but technology is changing faster than facilities can be adjusted, according to an article on the WSP website.

The operating rooms of the future will need flexibility. 

Many of today’s hospitals were built more than 20 years ago before the recent wave of digital technologies. Now operating rooms need space for large machines the supply of electrical power to accommodate them.

Many cramped surgical spaces would benefit from improved lighting, air conditioning and digital connectivity.
