California hospital captures high-resolution images for better identification
Torrance Memorial Medical Center in South Bay, Calif., uses digital footprint technology to capture newborns' footprints, according to an article on the ABC7 website.
Torrance is the first hospital in Los Angeles County to use the technology.
The identification system captures high-resolution footprints, which can be used for precise identification in situations like abductions, lost or abandoned babies, or natural disasters.
The system also takes security photos.
