ELB Electronics introduces LED down light for CFL direct replacement lamps

ARCADIA, Calif. ─ELB Electronics, a global manufacturer of LED lighting products, has introduced an LED down light direct replacement product to retrofit existing 1x32-watt and 2x26-watt compact fluorescent (CFL) downlights.

Models are available to retrofit existing 6 and 8-inch diameter down lights using 1x32-watt triple and 2x26-watt double CFLs and fluorescent electronics ballasts.

Installation is simple and doesn't require any re-wiring of the existing light fixture. The CFL lamps are removed and the LED down light module is installed. It's that easy and the new lamps will save more than 40 percent in energy.

Just four steps are needed in the retrofit process. First, remove the existing reflector and lamps. Then install the mounting ring, connect the LED replacement module and attach the LED module to the retaining ring.

The ELB down light is compatible with most existing fluorescent battery back-up ballasts. If the existing ballast fails, the LED lamp can still operate using an optional 120-277VAC LED remote continuous dimming driver.

The down light, which provides a lamp life of more than 50,000 hours, is an excellent choice for low temperature applications and does not flicker. It has less lumen depreciation than other fluorescent systems and is backed with a 5-year manufacturer's warranty. The lamp meets UL standard 1598c requirements.
