EPCO's new parking garage LED Luminaire fixture raises the bar on performance

MINNEAPOLIS — Engineered Products Company (EPCO) (www.engproducts.com), a supplier of specialty lighting and wiring consumable products for electrical contractors, today announced its new energy-efficient, exceptionally reliable LED Linear Luminaire for parking garages provides unparalleled performance, improved efficacy, and more usable lumens per watt. This solid-state luminaire consumes less than half the wattage of a four-foot luminaire using two 32-watt T8 fluorescent lamps and has a minimum life expectancy of 50,000 hours.

The complete, installation-ready parking garage luminaire features two rows of LEDs and reflectors that magnify lumen output intensity to distribute the light outward as an “enhanced” controlled beam. It includes a “frosted” polycarbonate diffuser to mitigate any glare to the finished floor and provides a color-rendering index of 82 and above. The luminaire complies with the requirements of the Design Lights Consortium (DLC).

EPCO President Jack Schuster said, “To meet the growing demand for energy-efficient lighting in parking garages, our solid-state lighting solution provides improved thermal dissipation for optimizing light output. Since parking garages and parking canopies have an unobstructed headroom clearance of no less than seven feet above the finished floor to any ceiling, beam or pipe height, our LED Luminaire is specially designed for even light distribution and no-glare illumination.”

Ready for immediate installation in new construction and renovation projects, EPCO’s solid-state LED Luminaires are ETL listed and meet UL 1598 Standards. Visit www.engproducts.com/product_resources/video/led-luminaire-series to view step-by-step installation instructions.

Contractors should check with local electric utilities and co-ops for availability of prescriptive or custom rebates to reduce the overall installed cost.
