Experience Senior Living Development has announced that it will develop a 103-unit senior housing community in Atlee, Virginia. Experience Senior Living at Richmond will be developed on an 8.34-acre parcel in central Hanover County.

Experience Senior Living at Richmond will feature 79 assisted living and 24 memory care units and will offer conveniences and connectivity to its residents and their families, as well as its providers and team members.

The design of Experience Senior Living at Richmond features the aesthetic of a modern farmhouse, with a respectful nod to the character of the surrounding neighborhood and history of the market. Luxury amenities and exterior services include: outdoor dining; assisted living and memory care gardens; bocce ball court; walking paths; sunroom; and covered porch. Interior features include: a card room; art room; library; spa; fitness center; theater; salon; live piano music; and a coffee bar with café seating.

Assisted living accommodations will range from 396-square-foot studios up to 1,063-square-foot, two-bedroom units, with memory care studio units with 321-376 square feet. Construction has started, with a grand opening anticipated in the third quarter of 2023.
