Facility Guidelines Institute begins process for 2022 guidelines

The proposal period is open until June 30

The Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) has opened the public proposal period for the 2022 guidelines for health and residential care facilities with the launch of a new online proposal platform, according to an article on the Health Facilities Management  website.

FGI introduced the new outpatient guidelines and its Beyond Fundamentals resource library in 2018.

The 2022 revision cycle is being looked at as an opportunity to both build on the Beyond Fundamentals offerings and fine-tune the fundamental Guidelines requirements, the article said.

The new proposal platform will collect suggestions for changes to baseline text as well as for the development of materials on operational and best-practice recommendations.
