When considering a transformer replacement, a few tips can ensure a quick return to service, reduced costs and less downtime, according to an article on the Healthcare Construction + Operations website.

It's important to select the right kind of transformer. For instance, for indoor applications, dry-type transformers are the most common —  in part because they are air-cooled, so they pose lower risk of problematic leakage, environmental issues and fire.
