Falcon and Thonet introduce new side table and lounge seating at NeoCon 2015

Falcon Products and Thonet today introduce two products, the Dart Side Table and 9970 Lounge Seating swivel series, respectively, both designed to enhance the workplace and support the untethered employee or student.

As workspaces continue to evolve toward more open design, these new products offer greater versatility to accommodate employees and students who prefer to work individually or collaboratively. The Dart Side Table and 9970 Lounge Seating are ideal for “touch down” areas within a building, which will be demonstrated in the community zone of Falcon’s and Thonet’s showroom (11-111) at NeoCon 2015.

Falcon’s Dart features a lightweight, low profile table with a base manufactured from 98% post-consumer recycled iron, a column composed of 60% recycled extruded aluminum and a thin surface available in any laminate. With an integrated handhold, Dart moves easily while its legs slide under a sofa, booth, chair or other seating without causing any foot obstructions.

“The Dart Side Table is the result of a customer request to design a lightweight table alongside our modular seating solutions,” said Steve Cohen, vice president of sales and marketing. “Dart provides a stylish place for users to set their laptop or cup of coffee in a lobby, lounge or other common area.”

Thonet’s new 9970 Lounge Seating swivel series draws off the classic mid-century modern lines, offering a comfortable place for people to sit and engage one another in almost any environment. Lightweight and cost-effective, the 9970 Lounge Seating has a small footprint and a base constructed of 98% post-consumer recycled iron obtained from engine blocks.

“Not only is the classic design of the 9970 Lounge Seating on trend right now, but the swivel functionality meets the growing need for collaboration and social engagement,” said Cohen.

NeoCon 2015 attendees will have an opportunity to view the Falcon Dart Side Table and the Thonet 9970 Lounge Seating swivel series in showroom11-111 of the Merchandise Mart.
