Fatal shooting at Minnesota hospital prompts investigation

St. Cloud Hospital now designated with 'immediate jeopardy' status

A recent fatal shooting at Minnesota's St. Cloud Hospital has prompted investigation and has left the facility with 'immediate jeopardy' status, according to an article on the KSTP website.

A hospital spokesperson says the deficiencies found in the inspection weren't necessarily connected to the shooting.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services found some issues not directly related to the shooting. What exactly they found is expected to be released by them soon.

The hospital has until Nov. 19 to comply with the changes. The hospital said it is doing an internal review and has made some changes to how it works with law enforcement as it manages potentially violent patients.
