First VR for Interior Design Course Approved for Continuing Education Units by IDCEC

Yulio Technologies, a leading provider of virtual reality (VR) technologies for architecture and design, today announced that its new course “The New Reality of Virtual Reality” has been officially registered with the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC) for Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

The New Reality of Virtual Reality

The revolutionary new course from Yulio delivers insight into VR’s growing applications within business, with a primary focus on its impact on Architecture and Design. Users will learn common VR terminology, evaluate how to use the technology within their operations and analyze three real life case studies of VR used in problem solving situations. The practical focus of the course prepares those in interior design with tips on implementation, analytical techniques and how to get the most out of VR as a tool for design and communication.

This is the first time that a course centred around Virtual Reality for Interior Designers has been approved by the IDCEC for CEUs. CEUs are obtained from attending education experiences from industry specialists such as Yulio. Each unit is defined as 10 hours of these experiences, and the number of units required each year differs between organizations.

For example, The American Society of Interior Designers requires a minimum of 1.0 units every two years. The Yulio seminar, at around 80 minutes long, provides 0.1 units. The requirement of these units means designers keep up to date with changes in the industry, such as the arrival of Virtual Reality as a professional tool. The step demonstrates the growing impact VR is having within the industry and the recognition of VR as a compelling tool for project visualization and communication.

Yulio’s technology platform allows those working in A&D to seamlessly turn 3D designs in immersive VR experiences.

Users can register for the course on the IDCEC website as new dates are announced or contact Yulio directly at hello@yulio.com
