Three health systems within the Flint, Mich., have invested in equipment and testing to ensure their water is safe, according to an article on the Health Facilities Management website.
Hurly Medical Center began conducting lead level testing on its water when the lead concerns were first brought up.
Genesys Health System's newer facilities in the area has also conducted extensive water testing that has shown that lead levels well within the acceptable range. The Genesys sites continue to use filters and bottled water.
In the article, McLaren Flint said it had taken aggressive measures over the past 18 months to implement additional processes to further safeguard and reinforce the quality of the water system at the hospital.
