HCA Florida Healthcare recently announced that 11 of its more than 400 affiliated sites of care across Florida will adopt the new HCA Florida Healthcare brand, signaling their connection to the state’s leading collaborative care network. The first facilities to adopt the brand in Florida include four existing hospitals, six freestanding emergency rooms and a new, state-of-the-art hospital.

“Our colleagues and physicians across Florida have long been united in serving our mission. Now, we will also be united under the HCA Florida Healthcare brand and will continue to work together to deliver top-quality care for patients across the Sunshine State,” says Chuck Hall, national group president, HCA Healthcare.

The new HCA Florida University Hospital is located adjacent to the campus of Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. The facility represents a $360 million investment in delivering the latest advances in personalized care to communities in South Florida.

The 330,000-square-foot, multi-specialty hospital is equipped with the latest technology and offers comprehensive healthcare services, including 24/7 emergency care, maternity services with a Level III neonatal ICU and a full range of robotic and minimally invasive surgical services. With more than 600 expert physicians on staff, HCA Florida University Hospital has 165 beds and can expand to 435 beds based on community needs.

Memorial Hospital of Tampa and its Tampa Community Hospital campus will also adopt the new HCA Florida Healthcare brand. HCA Florida Healthcare is also anticipating the completion of another construction project, a new freestanding ER under construction in West Florida and scheduled to open in early 2022. HCA Florida Central Tampa Emergency will be a part of HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital.
