Flushmate® Technology Meets the Demands of Challenging Restroom Environments

Flushmate, a supplier to toilet manufacturers on three continents, is providing businesses of all types with its pressure-assisted system to greet patrons with functioning restrooms and meet the demands of challenging restroom environments.

From restaurants and hotels to schools and healthcare facilities, Flushmate technology not only delivers uncompromised performance with efficient 1.6 and 1.0 gpf (gallons per flush) volumes, but ultimately produces the most important benefit to facility owners — a consistently operational and reliable restroom.

“The last thing business owners want to do is post an ‘Out of Order’ sign outside their facility’s restroom due to clogged toilets,” said Jeff Krull, President Flushmate Division. “At Flushmate, our products remove that inconvenience factor and have presented a superior alternative to gravity-type low consumption toilets for over 30 years.”

Based on a recent survey, customers’ first reaction to an unkempt restroom is to walk out and consider not coming back. The second most popular reaction is to complain to management. In the first case, owners may never know if they have lost a customer.

The Flushmate advanced bowl design alleviates this problem, as Flushmate-equipped bowls are strategically designed to “push” contents out of the trapway. This method, as opposed to gravity siphoning, results in a much less-complicated trapway with just one bend. This technology exceeds ANSI/ASME A112.19.2M and CSA B-45 performance requirements, while eliminating any need to double flush. That unique — yet simple — trapway allows waste to be extracted earlier in the flush, where gravity trapways require a choke area or siphon bend that restricts flow.

Additionally, toilets with Flushmate technology offer a large water surface area inside the bowl to reduce odors and maintain a cleaner bowl.
