Focal Point to Preview New Products at LEDucation 2019

Focal Point will be exhibiting their latest innovations at LEDucation 2019 in New York City. Addressing the challenges of today’s commercial environments, the luminaires focus on improving human comfort with optimal lighting and acoustical performance.

“Focal Point has been dedicated to the lighting industry for a quarter of a century. There have been a lot of changes in the industry since we entered in 1994. We are maintaining the same commitment we have had since day one. The products that will be on display reflect our quality, attention to detail, and commitment to providing the architecture and design community the tools to enhance architecture and elevate the human spirit.” stated Mike Thornton, Chief Marketing Officer for Focal Point, LLC.

When the New York City-based event is held March 12 and 13 at the Hilton Midtown, the architectural luminaires manufacturer (booth 2909 & 2911) will feature the popular Skydome® Edge and new members of the expanding Seem® 1 family, including Seem 1 Indirect, Seem 1 Point source, and Seem 1 Acoustic. They will also debut a new extension to the popular Acoustic Solutions product line, the AirCore Blade.

Skydome Edge is an entirely re-designed addition to the popular Skydome product line, achieving a classic look with a low-profile housing, a recessed lens, and a sharp, knife-edge profile. The modern luminaire accommodates diverse commercial spaces with an unlit, sound-absorbing companion, lending both visual and acoustic comfort as part of an integrated luminaire and sound baffle system.

The newest addition to the Seem family, Seem 1 is engineered to take advantage of design flexibility and ease of installation with a slim 1.5-inch aperture. It combines a sleek aesthetic with high performance for a wide variety of interior spaces with suspended, recessed, surface or wall mount options – in individual units, continuous runs or patterns – in 1-inch increments.

Seem 1 Acoustic leverages the advanced light engine, narrow aperture, and various lumen outputs of the Seem 1 platform, and is designed with an eco-friendly, sound-absorbing PET housing material. The Seem 1 Acoustic luminaire can be paired with the Seem 1 Acoustic baffles to provide a coordinated, integrated lighting and acoustical ceiling system that addresses the high noise levels and reverberation issues common to open, multi-purpose spaces.

Accompanying the Seem 1 Acoustic and making its debut at LEDucation is the AirCore Blade, a slim architectural blade that supports budget-conscious projects. It is designed using Focal Point’s AirCore technology and is engineered to acoustically outperform standard acoustical blades. The new addition is made of the same sound-absorbing PET housing as the Seem 1 Acoustic and, when paired with Seem 1 Acoustic illuminated baffles, the system delivers optimal illumination and sound levels with a coordinated visual aesthetic.

According to Thornton, we can expect to see more innovations focused around human health and well-being from Focal Point soon. www.focalpointlights.com.
